European Private International Law

Private international law is about foreign element, foreign jurisdictions and foreign laws.

  • What is the state, whose courts have jurisdiction?
  • What is the law applicable to the dispute?
  • What effect can be given to a foreign judgment?

Especially for foreign students we offer a course on European Private International Law. These are 45 hours of intensive legal training on the European Union regulations and the international conventions from the field of private international law in force in the majority of the European States (EU, EFTA, Member States of the Hague Conference for the Private International Law). The course deals also with the international arbitration.

The course is delivered by Doctor Anna Wysocka-Bar.
